During Monday night’s Plymouth Common Council meeting, City Attorney Sean Surrisi presented a Certified Proposal for the Centennial Crossing Planned Unit Development (PUD) for property owners Tanya and Carl Stockberger. The residential housing development will be developed by CMD Corporation on the city’s north side, just north of Plymouth Goshen Trail and Randolph Street.
Surrisi said the Plymouth Plan Commission gave preliminary approved to the PUD earlier this month and the City Council must also approve the PUD.
The site plan presented showed the rough placement of the various units: single family homes that will be for sale or rent, multi-family apartment buildings, some 8 unit duplex type buildings and senior citizen multi unit developments. The project will be phased in, but it is intended to be one continuous build with ground breaking yet this fall. The property is currently 4 large parcels that were annexed into the city late last year.
The step the City Council did on Monday evening was approval of the PUD district ordinance and general terms provided to them. It’s then referred back to the City Plan Commission who will have to approve the secondary review which shows the exact locations of the properties to be built. Surrisi said plan commission approval is required before a building permit can be issued.
The vote was unanimous in favor of the PUD.
